Influential columnist of the UK's Daily Telegraph, Chrisopher Booker, has blasted the plan by British Chancellor of the Esxchequer George Osborne to introduce next year an EU "carbon emissions tax" that Booker says on its own will double electricity prices in 18 years. He also questions the closure of five coal-fired generating plants that supply one fight of Britain's electricity, sayong that one night last week over 50% of power came from coal, and only 1.3% from wind turbines.
In the same article, Booker takes issue with the "Arctic ice scare", describing NASA reports of ice melt caused by cyclones.
